For various reasons, the books of Ezra and Nehemiah have suffered comparative neglect in Old Testament scholarship.
However, as Dean Ulrich demonstrates, Ezra-Nehemiah as a literary unit is part of the Christian Bible that tells God’s grand story of saving activity.
