Healing The Masculine Soul
$18.99Add to cartIn his groundbreaking book fifteen years ago, Gordon Dalbey identified the fact that men’s souls have been torn between strength and sensitivity. Today, the situation is even worse. The politically correct crowd cries out for men to be more sensitive, to tame their masculine nature. On the opposing side, the media bombards men with “macho” images of violence and lust. Is it any wonder men are left bewildered about who they should be? In this newly revised and updated edition of Healing the Masculine Soul, Dalbey claims that there’s hope for restoration, hope for healing_because Christ has come to heal us. God is calling men out to a relationship with Himself and calling them out to authentic manhood. “Our task is not to curse our manhood, but to redeem it,” he writes. Gordon Dalbey’s refreshing, comprehensive picture of God’s design for the masculine soul dares men to be as God created them to be_not as society demands. Dalbey tackles the tough issues, including work, sexuality, marriage, and fatherhood. Book includes Study Guide.

Corporate America : Refreshing The Christian Business Man
$13.49Add to cartI am hoping that this book will help encourage those of us who are especially involved in corporate America. I will be the first one to tell you that this book isn’t a really deep one, but it’s a nice easy read. I have found that it is very easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, in the politics of corporate America, so that we lose our focus on Christ. Hopefully by digging into the Word of God we will be encouraged and will change our lives, especially to be an example while we are at work. Once again, this is a simple reminder and refresher, so we can focus more of our energies on actually doing God’s will, not just reading about what we are supposed to be doing. Let’s remember that Christ makes us who we are, not our jobs and busy schedules.

The message of this timely book is that you need not settle for a fear-driven form of freedom when an abundant life of victory in Christ is yours for the taking. The secret to victorious living is to tap into God’s great storehouse of mercy for one’s own needs, and then act as a conduit for that power, directing it toward the lives of others. Overcoming habitual sin is important, but real victory occurs when a person becomes a weapon in the hands of a powerful God against the legions of hell. That is living in victory! Win the battle for sexual purity. Lay down your weapons and become one!

As much as it may distress us, our boys are future men. When Theodore Roosevelt taught Sunday school for a time, a boy showed up one Sunday with a black eye. He admitted he had been fighting and on a Sunday too. He told the future president that a bigger boy had been pinching his sister, and so he fought him. TR told him that he had done perfectly right and gave him a dollar. The stodgy vestrymen thought this was a bit much, and so they let their exuberant Sunday school teacher go. What a loss.Unbelief cannot look past surfaces. Unbelief squashes; faith teaches. Faith takes a boy aside and tells him that this part of what he did was good, while that other part of what he did got in the way. “And this is how to do it better next time.”
As we look to Scripture for patterns of masculinity for our sons, we find them manifested perfectly in the life of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one who set the ultimate pattern for friendship, for courage, for faithfulness, and integrity.

Maximized Manhood : A Guide To Family Survival (Revised)
$15.99Add to cartThis is a book that is unabashedly, uncompromisingly written to men. There are many books about us, but precious few written to us. It is a throw back to the days of “man-to-man talks,” male virtues, chivalry, and a respect for women and children that grew out of understanding the responsibility of being a “grown man.” It is a book that enables us to discover the maximum potential of our lives–to live as maximized men. It is long overdue.
Pungent and direct, this is a book that challenges today’s man. Some may be so angry at the ascertions that they will want to slam the book down and quit. Others will be tempted to fire off a hot letter to “get Ed Cole straightened out.”

Unmasking Male Depression
$18.99Add to cartDepression is a secret pain at the core of many men’s lives, and one that goes largely undiagnosed and untreated. The consequences of not treating male depression are extremely serious. In Unmasking Male Depression, Dr. Archibald Hart explores the many forms of depression and gives tools for coping with and healing depression in men. Hart also examines the lives of Christian leaders who struggled with depression, such as Charles Spurgeon, Martin Luther, and John Calvin, to reveal the myths surrounding this illness.

Passion Power And Praise
$10.99Add to cartPassion, Power, and Praise describes a vision of male spirituality that is modeled by God’s relationship with David-the hero-king of biblical history who ruled over Israel and Judah a thousand years before the birth of Christ-and is fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth, often called the “son of David.” The author’s hope is that as men see the way God was at work in the life of David, they will discover new ways in which God may be at work in their lives and will be led to a life filled with robust passion, spiritual power, and joyful praise.

Growth Into Manhood
$15.99Add to cartWhat happens when a boy grows physically into an adult male but misses some of the experiences and relationships that help form complete manhood? Many such boys will grow up with homosexual attractions; others may be heterosexual but will lack a true sense of their manhood. Alan Medinger writes for such men and for those who care about them.
Within the context of his own release from homosexuality and his growth into “confident and comfortable” manhood, Medinger offers hope to others. For homosexually oriented men, such growth is an essential but often overlooked step in the process of healing. This ground-breaking study could well change many lives. -
