Texas Motor Speedway. They do everything big in Texas. The Great American Racetrack is no exception as a state of the art facility with every amenity an experienced race fan needs. The NASCAR boys love it. The one and a half mile tri-oval with 24 degree banked corners makes for multi-grooved, close quarter, high-speed combat. It is also wicked fast with flat-foot qualifying speeds in the high 190’s. Every team knows if you’re going to wear that cowboy hat and fire those six guns in the winner’s circle, you better bring your “A” game because you got your work cut out for you.

The Orly Mann Racing Team has been here before, but this race is different. The Chase for the Championship is getting tight. Three races to go. Orly’s sitting in second place, just a few points off the lead. The Kid, T.K. Kittridge, is hanging tough in fourth with a real chance to move the Blue Saber to the front. Texas has been good to the Orly Mann Team, but things start to unravel. The Blue Saber crew chief goes down, leaving Bear with a tough decision. Orly decides to do some testing… with dire results. A greedy voice from the past shows up, causing big trouble for the team. Paolo, Doug and Alicia face difficult choices. It takes a kid named Silas Biggs to put things in perspective. When the green flag finally drops…well, winner take all!

Bristol. The very name of the place would often bring a lop-sided grin and a sardonic look from even the most mellow race car driver. The high thirty-six degree banking and the close quarters made this half mile track a wild circus when the Cup boys came into town. Anything could happen and the unexpected was the norm. Tempers as well as engine temperatures ran hot at this place and few if any drivers finished the race without a battle scar or two. That is if they finished. The Orly Mann Racing Team knew that to win here they?d better have their act together and be in top form. The Thunderfoot Ballet Company would have to perform every pitstop flawlessly and give Orly all the track position they possibly could. Paolo and Doug better suck it up and keep their heads in the game. That might not be easy this week. As Bear, co-owner and crewchief would say: trying and doing are two different things. Bear himself, already had a plate full. He was nursing a broken nose and dealing with a major catastrophe at the shop. What else could go wrong? Plenty! The Orly Mann Racing Team faces some serious issues as they get ready to tackle the fastest half mile race track in the world. This is racin? the way it oughta be?
