  • Wait For Me

    $14.99

A call to young people to remain sexually pure until marriage.

Everyone longs to be loved deeply by someone, and Rebecca St. James is no different, as demonstrated by her hit song “Wait for Me.” In this revised and updated version of the 2002 release, Rebecca shares the same desires as other young people as her resolve to remain sexually pure until marriage is not common in our society.

Using Scripture, pop culture, and her own experience as a point of reference, Rebecca paints a relevant and appealing picture of the value of waiting. But Rebecca also reaches out with compassion to those who have already made mistakes and reveals the mercy and healing that God brings.

The new editon of this bestseller includes: a fresh design (inside and out) with eye-catching graphics; a new introduction from Rebecca; journaling sections throughout the book; and a study guide for personal or group use.

  • How To Let God Solve Your Problems (Revised)

    $19.99

Dr. Stanley shares solid, biblical insight to enable people to effectively handle their trials, challenges, and troubles.

When trials seem too great, sorrows too deep, and stress too prolonged, people wonder how they will be able to continue. They ask, “Can anything good come of this?” When God is involved the answer is always yes. The right response to every trial we face begins with faith in an all-knowing, all-powerful God who loves without hesitation.

In How to Let God Solve Your Problems, Dr. Stanley explains, “When you trust God with your circumstances, He will not only help you solve whatever problem you are facing, but He will restore all that has been lost in the process . . . and you will find lasting joy in God’s goodness.” Even when everything we regard as familiar changes, God remains the same-steadying us, bringing us fresh hope and clear guidance, and moving us into His solution for our lives.

  • Power Of Gods Love

    $9.99

Dr. Charles Stanley’s month-long exploration into the heart of God strengthens and encourages readers to live as those fully and unconditionally loved. People will go to nearly any extreme to feel loved. They run from relationship to relationship, buy new homes and cars, search for new jobs . . . all in hopes of fulfilling their deepest longings. But far too often, every person in this pursuit comes up empy-handed feeling alone, unloved, and mistreated. There is only one Person who can meet all your needs-especially the need to be loved-and that is Jesus Christ. In The Power of God’s Love, Dr. Stanley writes, “We hear about the love of God and think, ‘Oh, but you don’t what I have done. God could never love me.’ The awesome truth is this: God loves you unconditionally. He created you in love, and He has promised to love you forever. When you give your life to Him, your search for true love is over!”

  • Question Of Providence

    $28.00

The traditional doctrine of providence has fallen on hard times in the face of human suffering, such as that of September 11, 2001. In this clear and engaging book, Charles Wood seeks to renew reflection on doctrine of providence by reexamining features of the classical doctrine and reorienting the doctrine in a way that coheres more fully with the gospel.
Wood’s argument moves in two directions: first, by examining recent thinking about the function of doctrine, Wood sheds light on what the doctrine of providence is supposed to do and how one might assess its adequacy. Second, Wood proposes a reorientation of the doctrine around the central Trinitarian and christological commitments—a reorientation that moves beyond neglecting the doctrine of providence and toward a new way of understanding Gods involvement with the world.

  • Millennium

    $34.99

This book is a wealth of information, which is interestingly written and justified with documents. It is very thorough and informative, whilst also discussing a delicate issue courageously. No matter what you think about the Millennium, you won’t be bored with this book! In addition, you will learn many facts about the situation in the Middle-East and Israel, which the newspapers refuse for some reason to reveal. The Finnish Christian TV-7, January 2008 One has to admire the author’s knowledge of the Middle-East and the people living there; few have such expertise. When we add his knowledge of the Bible, there certainly aren’t many people who can boast to know equally much. The book covers the basic Gospel too, and thus is also suitable for anyone who is still seeking. In all, this book is very extensive and it can be warmly recommended to anyone. • Secrets Of The Koran (Reprinted)

    $20.00

Forget all those evening news sound bites or diplomatically correct half-truths about the Koran and the religion of Islam. If you want to know what the Koran is really about, you have to know what it really says. Don Richardson gives you a nitty-gritty inside look at the Koran, helping to separate fact from fiction. These hard-hitting observations are not the author’s opinion based on what he thinks the Koran seems to imply. Muslim boys are indoctrinated in military camps. Madrasa schools force memorization and repetition of the Koran, particularly those verses that promise heavenly rewards for martyrdom. It took courage to write this serious, documented, and well-sourced book. But the price of truth is courage, regardless of one’s religion.

  • Edge Of Evolution

    $18.99

When Michael J. Behe’s first book, Darwin’s Black Box, was published in 1996, it launched the intelligent design movement. Critics howled, yet hundreds of thousands of readers — and a growing number of scientists — were intrigued by Behe’s claim that Darwinism could not explain the complex machinery of the cell.

Now, in his long-awaited follow-up, Behe presents far more than a challenge to Darwinism: He presents the evidence of the genetics revolution — the first direct evidence of nature’s mutational pathways — to radically redefine the debate about Darwinism.

How much of life does Darwin’s theory explain? Most scientists believe it accounts for everything from the machinery of the cell to the history of life on earth. Darwin’s ideas have been applied to law, culture, and politics.

But Darwin’s theory has been proven only in one sense: There is little question that all species on earth descended from a common ancestor. Overwhelming anatomical, genetic, and fossil evidence exists for that claim. But the crucial question remains: How did it happen? Darwin’s proposed mechanism — random mutation and natural selection — has been accepted largely as a matter of faith and deduction or, at best, circumstantial evidence. Only now, thanks to genetics, does science allow us to seek direct evidence. The genomes of many organisms have been sequenced, and the machinery of the cell has been analyzed in great detail. The evolutionary responses of microorganisms to antibiotics and humans to parasitic infections have been traced over tens of thousands of generations.

As a result, for the first time in history Darwin’s theory can be rigorously evaluated. The results are shocking. Although it can explain marginal changes in evolutionary history, random mutation and natural selection explain very little of the basic machinery of life. The “edge” of evolution, a line that defines the border between random and nonrandom mutation, lies very far from where Darwin pointed. Behe argues convincingly that most of the mutations that have defined the history of life on earth have been nonrandom.

Although it will be controversial and stunning, this finding actually fits a general pattern discovered by other branches of science in recent decades: The universe as a whole was fine-tuned for life. From physics to cosmology to chemistry to biology, life on earth stands revealed as depending upon an endless series of unlikely events. The clear conclusion: The univer

  • Feasting On The Word Year B 1

    $55.00

This new lectionary commentary series offers the most extensive resource for preaching on the market today. When complete, the twelve volumes will cover all of the Sundays in the three-year lectionary cycle, along with moveable occasions such as Christmas Day, Epiphany, Holy Week, and All Saints Day.

For each lectionary text, preachers will find four brief essays on the exegetical, theological, pastoral, and homiletical challenges of the text, with freedom to begin where they choose. They may decide to focus on the Gospel text, for instance, by reading all four essays provided for that text. Or they may decide to look for connections between the Hebrew Bible, Psalm, Gospel, and Epistle texts by reading the theological essays on each one.

Each lectionary year will consist of four volumes, one for the Advent and Christmas season, one for Lent and Easter, and one for each half of Ordinary Time.

While the twelve volumes of the series will follow the pattern of the Revised Common Lectionary, each volume will contain an index of biblical passages so that non-lectionary preachers may make use of its contents.

  • Renewing The Face Of The Earth

    $21.00

This important and timely study provides a much needed theological framework for considering and responding to the challenges of climate change. In a highly readable and clear style, it explores the spiritual questions being opened up by this issue: questions about human life and destiny, about our relationship to the planet and to each other, about altruism and selfishness, about the place of technology, about justice, our values and hopes. A practical exploration of these questions is set in the context of the biblical notions of covenant – God’s commitment to creation which David Atkinson sees as the ‘inner meaning’ of creation, and sabbath – regular times of rest and replenishment for humans and for the earth itself. Seeing climate changes in the light of these biblical concepts reveals a strong moral imperative to act in ways that are help to bring about the New Testament hope that the whole of creation will one day be renewed in Christ.

  • Commentary On The Book Of Enoch

    $27.49

    Product Description
Fifty years after James Bruce brought a copy of the Book of Enoch, found in Ethiopia, to England, Richard Laurence made a first modern translation. Later, R.H. Charles made another translation using some Greek excerpts, and more Ethiopian texts. Then recently, Michael A Knibb, using many texts, and partial texts, put together an ?adequate’ translation. Yet, all of these translations are rough, obscure, and confusing to Christians of today. The Dead Sea Scrolls contained many copies and partial copies of the Book of Enoch, In the Dead Sea scrolls, there were found 17 copies. Comparitively, there were 30 copies of Psalms, 25 copies of Deuteronomy, 19 of Isaiah, 15 of Genesis and Exodus, 14 Of Jubilees. Jude validated The Book Of Enoch with his quote from it. Using all of the sources now available, along with an in-depth study of book, I have prepared this paraphrase/translation. Along with such, I have included an commentary to help in its comparison with the Bible. John D. Ladd was raised the son of an Assemblies of God pastor. He attended Northeast Bible College, in Pennsylvania, and later, Malone College, in Canton, Ohio. He pastored for many years, was ordained in the Assemblies of God, but later left to pastor independent churches. Preferring teaching to preaching, he has spent many years studying, reading books from the early church period, and translatingparaphrasing them for ease of use by Christians of today. This book of Enoch’s has been translated, paraphrased, and now is being given commentary, to compare it with the Bible’s message, to test it by the Word of God. How does it compare? Is it in agreement with the message and prophetic teachings of the Bible?

Storms will come into our life. Jesus said so in His Word. “In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 6:33). Perhaps your storm in life is a current or past job loss, loss of a loved one, financial loss or loss of a reputation. None of us are immune. We do however, have a choice how we respond. We can emerge from the rubble embittered, broken and in bondage or we can elect to let Christ build something beautiful for His Kingdom’s work. No one can make that choice for us. We must be passionately prepared when the storms come. Our trust must be placed in the one true Creator who can lead, comfort, teach and conform us into his image. With daily prayers and our obedience to His Word and teachings, it is possible to build a spiritual fortress around a home that will safeguard it from spiritual destruction. However, we must be willing to change from the inside- out.

I needed to know more about this God and therefore reasoned I would need a religion that was also seeking after Him. The next thirty years were spent going from church to church and teacher to teacher, but never really getting any closer to my goal. I was led to start over, this time with the Holy Spirit as my exclusive guide and teacher. To keep myself organized, I started writing. I only documented what I knew in my heart was true. This is what I wrote. This is what I learned. This is how it begins. I humbly present these elementary teachings for the heart; a primer for spiritual growth.

  • Fidelity Of Betrayal

  • Beginning Of All Things

    $27.99

In an age when faith and science seem constantly to clash, can theologians and scientists come to a meeting of minds? Yes, maintains the intrepid Hans KA 1/4ng, as he brilliantly argues here that religion and science are not mutually exclusive but complementary. Focusing on beginnings – beginnings of time, of the world, of man, of human will – KA 1/4ng deals with an array of scientific precepts and teachings. From a unified field theory to quantum physics to the Big Bang to the theory of relativity – even superstring and chaos theories – he examines all of the theories regarding the beginning of the univererse and life (of all kinds) in that universe. KA 1/4ng seeks to reconcile theology with the latest scientific insights, holding that “a confrontational model for the relationship between science and theology is out of date, whether put forward by fundamentalist believers and theologians or by rationalistic scientists and philosophers.” While accepting evolution as scientists generally describe it, he still maintains a role for God in founding the laws of nature by which life evolved and in facilitating the adventure of creation. Exhibiting little patience for scientists who do not see beyond the limits of their discipline or for believers who try to tell experts how things must have been, KA 1/4ng challenges readers to think more deeply about the beginnings in order to facilitate a new beginning in dialogue and understanding.

  • Christology And Science

    $33.99

The dialogue between theology and science has blossomed in recent decades, but particular beliefs about Jesus Christ have not often been brought to the forefront of this interdisciplinary discussion even in explicitly Christian contexts. Here F. LeRon Shults breaks new ground by explicitly bringing the specific themes of Christology into dialogue with contemporary science. Shults seeks to articulate the Christian beliefs about Jesus Christ in a way that responds to challenges and opportunities that have arisen in light of various scientific discoveries. After a brief treatment of the history of the shaping of the ideas of Incarnation, Atonement, and Parousia, Shults traces developments in some of the sciences that have challenged these formulations – evolutionary biology, cultural anthropology, and physical cosmology. Each chapter also summarizes some of the popular constructive responses to these developments. After clarifying the way in which the Christian understandings of God and of humanity shape the task of reforming Christology, each chapter concludes with a programmatic outline of ways in which we might articulate the identity, agency, and presence of Jesus Christ in dialogue with late modern science and culture.
